Erica Cajamarca
Associate Advisor
(She/Her)
Erica Cajamarca brings thirteen years of client management experience in non-profit development and consumer insights to Francis Financial. Her non-profit career primarily focused on helping Fortune 500 companies, as well as high net-worth individuals and their families, identify and fund the programs that meant the most to them. One of the biggest takeaways from her non-profit experience was learning that a family's financial health begins with a strong foundation in financial literacy. This became even more evident during the COVID-19 pandemic, where she witnessed families struggling to make ends meet. Inspired to give back, Erica decided to go back to school and pursue a career change to financial planning.
Professionally
Erica holds a Bachelor's degree in economics with a minor in business administration from Fordham University. In early 2021, Erica received the Dalton Education Diversity Scholarship aimed at promoting educated and credentialed individuals from minority backgrounds in the financial planning industry. She completed her financial planning education at New York University's School for Continuing and Professional Studies in December 2022. Erica has built her professional career on being caring, clever, and courageous! As a career changer, she is thrilled to be part of a firm that improves the lives of others through financial and personal empowerment.
Personally
When she's not in the office, you can typically find Erica at Home Depot, updating and improving her investment properties, or at a dog park with her beloved two Jack Russell terriers. Erica is a foodie at heart and is always recreating exciting and tasty dishes for her family at home.
Purpose
Erica witnessed the journey her Ecuadorian parents experienced when migrating to this country, their path to citizenship, and buying their first home, all of which wouldn't have been possible without knowledge of saving and investing. It has become her mission to close the financial knowledge gap and guide families, individuals, and businesses on how to manage their day-to-day finances, build wealth, and thrive.
