Francis Financial President and CEO Stacy Francis was recently quoted in a Forbes Career article entitled Why More Women Should Consider Entrepreneurship. The December 2020 piece discusses several studies on how the COVID-19 epidemic has altered the workforce and how entrepreneurship can provide more flexibility, allow for more rapid advancement, give more control to, and offer more fulfillment than a corporate lifestyle for women.
Stacy contributes how starting her women-focused, fee-only wealth management firm in 2002 gives her the flexibility to enjoy her life and enhances how she parents. In it she says, “I love my work, and I love that my business allows me to be present in my children’s lives”.
The article also discusses how more women are turning to entrepreneurship as they are passed over for promotions in the boardroom, despite being more educated and involved in the workforce than ever before. In addition, entrepreneurship gives women more control over whom they work with and allows them to pursue a passion that translates to better career fulfillment.
